principles of measurement and control of batch process plant. It is a
hands-on course and participants will have the opportunity to explore the
set-up and tuning of control loops using simulation and other
computer-based training packages.
Suitable For: young graduates who require a practical
introduction to measurement and control systems on batch process plant.
Also useful for anyone working in the process industries who would like to
understand the techniques used in measurement and control and who have not
had the opportunity to learn about them before. The course will focus on
the principle types of control techniques that are used in batch processes.
A modified version of this course may be used to train process operators on
an in-company basis, please ask for details.
Key Topics Covered:
- The Control Loop
- Measurement Techniques
- Control valves
- Other control techniques
- Control of chemical reactions
- Heat exchanger control
- Control of solid-liquid separation systems
- Control of batch sequences
