This one-day event offers an overview of the coal seam methane (CSM)
industry, which is sometimes know as Coal Bed Methane (CBM), and is
written and presented in a manner suitable for people of a non-technical
background.
The purpose of the course is to enable all those without a technical background to have a better understanding of the industry.
The outcome should be that the attendees are equipped with
sufficient knowledge to allow them to offer more effective support to
their technical colleagues as well as potentially advance their chosen
career paths.
The scope of the course covers all the main sectors of the industry from the formation of coal and how methane is trapped with the coal to how CSM is produced, treated, exported and sold. For each of the main sectors the activities and technology will be explained in a clear, concise manner with the objective of introducing the day to day terminology and phraseology of the industry.
