Design and Operation of Tankers

This 2 day course provides a comprehensive overview of the design, construction, control and operation of tankers. It describes the design, principas of opeation and how through a combination of physical constraints during loading and offloading of ballast and cargo, the desing and materials of construction are adapted to meet numerous needs. The course also offers delegates the opportunity to study the manner in which the tanker is controlled and operated to provide a safe, efficient and effective means of loading, storing, transporting and discharging hydrocarbons and ballast so protecting the environment.
