These last few months have had our ESD team busy training the following major oil and gas companies to ensure their staff have the technical, hands-on training they need to excel in their respective fields:
Chevron – Since mid-June, we have run five customised Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressor courses in Perth, training a total of 57 employees. This course covers compression principles, compressor operation, mechanical design, instrumentation and control and anti-surge control in detail.
SBM – In July, training for SBM took place in France, at the SBM Monaco office, where our ESD trainer led our Design & Operation of FPSOs course. The course begins with an introduction to floating production systems and later moves into more specific areas such as field development, FPSO system, mooring and turret design, subsea system, and marine systems.
National Grid – August, we were back at our training center in Aberdeenshire, where we taught 5 National Grid employees all about centrifugal compressors in our Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors course and our Mechanical Aspects of Centrifugal Compressors course over a five day period. These employees learned about the construction and configuration of centrifugal gas compressors, as well as principles, operations, mechanical design, instrumentation and control and anti-surge control, to gain a full scope of the workings of centrifugal compressors.
Thanks for continued support! We look forward to more training in the fall.
