During the month of July, we have been working with employees of the following companies to provide world-class training on various topics.
Shell – Shearwater Overview. This course has been completely customised for Shell and covers the process operations on their Shearwater plant. The pilot Shearwater overview course was held in June with our trainer and Managing Director, Mark Dixon. The course went extremely well with comments as below from the delegates:
“Whole course was effective. Being new to Shearwater and providing maintenance support onshore, it gave me a better understanding of the process and how it should operate.”
“Simulations were very good to visually see how changes affected the platform. During all three days there was great discussion and interaction. Loved the CCC Simulations – definitely gained a lot from that.”
We ran our second Shell Shearwater Overview course on July 28-30th, with our trainer David Llewellyn at our training centre in Aberdeen, Scotland which had similar success. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Shell to educate their employees on Shearwater process operations.
AMEC Seafield House – We recently ran our Production Process and Emergency Systems on Oil and Gas Installations course for AMEC staff at their premises in Aberdeen, Scotland. The course ran from July 14-16th and participants were given an in-depth look into reservoirs, well design, gas compression, emergency shutdown and fire and gas systems, among others.
BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) – ESD trainer, Peter Watson went to Baku, Azerbaijan to run our Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors course for BP Exploration on the 30th June to the 2nd of July. He worked with BP staff using simulators to train them on centrifugal gas compressor operations such as anti-surge control, compressor protection and performance monitoring.
