During the month of September, we have been busy working with the following major oil and gas companies to ensure that their teams are confident in their knowledge within their respective fields.
Shell Academy - Shell staff members attended our "Central Control Room Operations Simulator - PEARL" course in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This is an intensive five day course which is based heavily on our PEARL simulator which is set up to mimic a real control room.
DECC - our trainer Bob Hodder, trained 15 DECC delegates on a customised one day FPSO - a Non-Technical Overview course in Aberdeen. This course gives a comprehensive overview of the nature and purpose of a floating production, storage and offtake system (FPSO). If covers main topics to explain how FPSO's are built as well as the versitality and technical features these ships entail.
Chevron - In Perth, Australia, our trainers were on site to train Chevron delegates on our Practical Aspects of Compressor Control using the CCC System Course and our Carbon Dioxide Compression Course. The Compressor Control using the CCC System course covers topics regarding CCC compressor control system including practice sessions on tuning and setting up the controllers on a CCC simulator. Our Carbon Dioxide Compression course uses dynamic simulation models to give a practical introduction to carbon dioxide, its application, characteristics, and carbon capturing technology. This course offers a comprehensive study of the subject for even those with limited first hand compressor operation experience.
